In light of the 10 elements of agroecology and the 13 agroecological principles, this publication shows the importance of rethinking the production of knowledge and its sharing, by including agroecological transition processes in participatory approaches.

The Municipality of Rosario, Argentina, is growing an agroecology program for a healthier, more resilient city since 2001. For those actions, Rosario won the 2020-2021 Grand prize of the World Resource Institute Ross Center Prize for Cities - the premier global award celebrating and spotlighting transformative urban change. 

In 20 years, Arbe, a small-scale women farmer from Sidama, has transformed her subsistence farming into a market-oriented agricultural system. Crop diversification and the withdrawal of chemical fertilizer have contributed to the enhanced biodiversity and resilience of her farm.  Arbe demonstrated the value of innovative agroecological practices in the Avaclim project supported by FAO. 

This Special Issue of ''Sustainability'' aims to produce a collective picture of the drivers and impact of eating behaviors on the human health and wellbeing of Indigenous peoples and those from Small Island Developing States. Deadline for manuscript submission is 30 September 2021.

This summer school aims to teach participants about designing sustainable regional food systems and agroecological landscapes using the North of  Netherlands as a case study. Application deadline is 14 August 2021.
