Agroecological Techniques for a Sustainable Livelihood in Ethiopia

In 20 years, Arbe, a small-scale women farmer from Sidama, has transformed her subsistence farming into a market-oriented agricultural system. Crop diversification and the withdrawal of chemical fertilizer have contributed to the enhanced biodiversity and resilience of her farm.  Arbe demonstrated the value of innovative agroecological practices in the Avaclim project supported by FAO.
