This report presents the first global assessment of food insecurity and malnutrition for 2020 as well as new estimates of the cost and affordability of healthy diets. It highlights the need for a deeper reflection on how to address the global food security and nutrition situation.
This edition notes that the global agri-sector has shown resilience during the pandemic, but income losses and a spike in food prices caused undernourishment to rise. It also assesses the global commodity markets over the coming decade, including fish and biofuel.
