The Newsletter, which will be published every 3 months, aims to provide information related to the work of FAO’s Commission on Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture, including developments in other relevant fora.

Commission intersessional meetings re-scheduled

The intersessional meetings of the Commission, originally scheduled for 2020, will be held as virtual meetings in 2021, starting with the second meeting of the Group of National Focal Points for Biodiversity for Food and Agriculture (2-4 March 2021). All dates are provided on the Commission’s website.

The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) initiated an informal global webinar series to share information related to DSI. A third and last webinar on “Policy options for access and benefit-sharing and digital sequence information on genetic resources” will be held in early 2021.
